INDEFINITE FREE TIME

Indefinite Free Time (2013 - present) is a meditation on and translation of artwork produced by incarcerated Guantanamo Bay detainees, into photographic form — the media choice providing the viewer a more accurate sense of what detainee’s used, mostly as still lifes, while imagining and creating their original work. My process empathizes with the faceless and nameless artists through translation of their largely unseen and confounding artworks.
